Please note that there has been a slight change in the bell schedule over the previous year. UPA will be on a Block Schedule Monday through Thursday. All classes, periods 1-7 will meet on Friday.

  • School Drop-off and Pickup- The UPA attendance office opens each morning at 7:30 AM and closes at 4:00 PM. Because of our concern for adult supervision of the students we request that you drop your students off for school no earlier than 7:30 AM and pick them up no later than 4:30 PM.
  • Attendance Reporting- Starting with the first day of school, parents will now be able to call in student absences and leave a message. The attendance notification line is: (408) 440-3283. Please use this attendance line to report student absences. Our attendance staff will retrieve these messages mid-morning every day.

  • Closed Campus- Also, for the safety of our students, UPA is a closed campus. Once students arrive at school they are not allowed to leave until school ends or they are picked up by a parent or guardian. Students needing to leave for medical/dental or other necessary appointments are to leave accompanied by the parent or guardian. If your student needs to leave for an appointment, please have the student submit a notice to the attendance secretary the morning of the appointment so we can have the student waiting for you in the office lobby.

  • Dress Code- UPA has a Common Dress Code that regulates student dress on campus. The dress code can be found on Pages 13 through 14 of the Student--Family Handbook. The link to the Handbook is shown below. UPA's uniform vendor, VIP Embroidery, provides the required UPA embroidered polo shirts, oxford shirts and sweatshirts. Please make plans to visit VIP Embroidery in order to ensure your student has the appropriate uniform for the first day of school.

Some elective and required classes such as art, math and science will have a list of materials for students to have available in their classes. This list will be provided to students the first week of school.

  • Save the Date- Please save the date for our annual “Back to School Night” which is being held close to the start of school. The event is scheduled for August 23, 2018 at 6:00 PM. We are hoping for a great “turn-out” of parents and guardians, as it is a wonderful opportunity to meet your student’s teachers, look at classrooms and review course information.
